NaNoWriMo

Hello, All!

           I'm sorry it has been so long since I've updated, (not that anyone checks this on a regular basis,) but I have just been SO BUSY! Marching band started in August, which took up all of my time. Then, that ended just before Halloween, and ever since then I have been doing NaNoWriMo!

           So, who here knows what NaNoWriMo is? A show of hands? ah. I see. Well, NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, and the goal of it is to write 50,000 words in the month of November. Well, as you all know, we are now in our last week of November, but never fear! I have successfully written 50,000 words this month, and you know what that means? The White Door has entered into the editing process.

          Right now, I have to admit, it is still pretty short. It's only a little over 60,000 words, and folks, that's not much. It's gettting longer as I edit, though, because I am adding a TON of detail. Right now, it looks a lot like a script.... You see the problem?

        Well... this has turned into a rant and I need to go do some more editing... so I'm off! I will update you all soon, and I hope that you guys are at least a little bit interested... maybe. Haha.

On A Roll!

Woooooo! I just finished chapter four, which is 7,015 words UNEDITED. Oh man oh man. Just wait until I edit this story... It will be twice as long as it already is. Current word count is almost 20,000 words, so I have until the end of August to get 30,000 more and edit the entire thing... WISH ME SOME EXTREME LUCK! :O

Camp NaNoWriMo

Hey, guys. So I don't know how many of you out there know about NaNoWriMo but it stands for National Novel Writing Month, and it is an online contest that takes place in November. Basically, what you do is you write a 50,000 word novel in a month and then you send it in and they pick winners. It is just for fun and it is a really nice challenge. Plus, it helps you bust out a novel that is 50,000 words or more! Anyways, now they are doing Camp NaNoWriMo, which is technically the same thing except it takes place in the summer. There is one in June and one in August, and I don't think it is quite as big and popular as the original NaNoWriMo, but I am going to be doing the August one to edit my book. I hope to edit my book as I add the story to the website, and then hopefully I will be completely done with my novel by the end of August and it will be ready to be printed! :D If NaNoWriMo sounds interesting to you just go to this link: http://www.nanowrimo.org/ and check it out! Hello, everyone. This here is a novel that I have been writing for a little over a month now. I'm not quite a quarter of the way done but I'm on a role and it is coming quite well. I hope that I can one day get it published, but until then you can check here for any updates on where I am on it and to learn more about the plot and characters. It is going to be a Young Adult novel, and if you like Harry Potter, The Mortal Instruments, Percy Jackson, House of Night, or any other novels similar to those, you will probably like this. :) Chow!
